Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) also known as Crib Death, refers to the sudden and unexpected death of an apparently healthy infant under one year of age.Each week, 3 babies die of SIDS in Canada. Such deaths usually occur while the child is sleeping and remain unexplained even after a full investigation. Nobody knows how to prevent SIDS, but the latest research shows that there are things you can do to make your baby safer and reduce the risk of SIDS.

1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
6 Blueberries
6 Lime Leaves
Muddle Blueberries and mint with lime juice and simple syrup. Shake over ice. Top with soda or sprite if you want it sweeter. Garnish with extra blueberries.

At the baby and toddler age, children learn best in an informal learning environment – meaning children learn by example. They are learning emotional skills, social skills and practical skills like using the hose to water the garden by following our example. They learn the basics of language by taking the lead from the older people around them who model the fluency in that language. Language basics are learned through immersion not through rote teaching. In the informal learning environment, a good role model is key.
