What you’ll need:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup dried apricots
  • 1/3 cup seeded prunes
  • 1 small pear peeled, quartered, sliced thickly
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Combine all ingredients in a medium pan; simmer, covered about 20 minutes or until pears are tender. Cool: discard cinnamon stick. Serve mashed with yogurt if desired.

Good for 6 months on

Storage – Covered in refrigerator up to 2 days
Freeze – Suitable in individual portions.
