Many women wonder if they should keep taking prenatal vitamins while breastfeeding.  Dr Linda Ducholke always suggests that her patients continue to take their prenatal vitamins while they are breastfeeding.  This helps to replace the iron that was lost during the delivery from blood loss.  Once the baby is born women tend to find themselves to be preoccupied with the care of the babe and often do not eat well and taking the prenatal vitamins also help to ensure we get an adequate vitamin intake even if the food intake is not great which is important for breastfeeding.

Dr. Linda Ducholke, a mother of two, has been a successful Family Practitioner with Obstetrical privileges for the past 20 years. The main focus and passion of her practice is obstetrics and childcare.
