You may consider creating an emergency contact list to have handy in the event of an emergency. This is helpful for grandparents and friends if they need to contact you or as reassurance for anyone taking care of your baby or child if you are away.

This list should include:

Your street address (to direct emergency personnel)
911 emergency
Your cell/work phone:
Your husband’s cell/work phone:
Hospital name and number:
Ambulance:
Police Department:
Fire Department:
Poison Control:
Nurse Line:
Family Doctor:
Local drug store:
Family and friends numbers:
Taxi company:
Other important numbers such as pet hospital/veterinarian:

Copy this into a word document and generate a hard copy with all of your important numbers to stick by the phone – you’ll be glad you did.
