With all the barbeques, picnics, and entertaining we do all summer long, this Asian Pasta salad is sure to be a hit wherever you take it. It can easily be doubled for big crowds, and is quick and easy to prepare. You will need:

Pasta salad

  • 450 gram package of Wheels, Penne or Fusilli – We love the fun shapes you find in Italian markets
  • 1 fresh tomato diced
  • ½ cucumber diced
  • 1 can of baby corn
  • 1 can of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can sliced black olives
  • 3 table spoons of toasted sesame seeds


  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup unseasoned rice vinegar
  • ¼ cup Soya sauce
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil


  1. Cook pasta until al dente and rinse with cold water. In a large bowl mix pasta, vegetables and sesame seeds together. In a separate bowl mix all dressing ingredients together and then add to the pasta mix. Chill and enjoy!
