My family and I have been travelling in Europe and I want to keep that magic alive when we get home. That’s why I’ve assembled a play list of movies about Italy so I can remember our trip and the beauty of a country I am so in love with. I remember 15 years ago, when I was in Italy, buying Italian bridal magazines because my husband and I had just gotten engaged. Now, travelling there with my kids, it was so special to share the magic of Italy with them.

Here’s what Netflix has to watch about Italy:

Under the Tuscan Sun

A divorcee buys a villa in Italy and finds healing and everything she’s looking for in life. How magical! It’s a story of friendship and starting over and finding peace with yourself. Sandra Oh and Diane Lane team up for a really great movie that captures the beauty of Italy.

Pompeii

A love story in at time of lava. Our family explored current day Pompeii – you would not believe how dirty our feet got! It was an incredible experience and this movie is one we can watch to visualize what might have happened in the past, and what the lives of those people might have been like.

When in Rome

A love story set in Rome, where fishing coins from a fountain had unexpected consequences and dilemmas. How fun is it to be in love in Europe? It’s a feeling that’s magical! A story of human nature and figuring things out while traveling abroad.

I’m never going to forget all the fun we had in Italy, but I’m thankful that Netflix has some options to keep me enjoying the scenery on my television screen.

Disclosure: I am part of Netflix’s StreamTeam which means I get special perks in exchange for sharing our family’s Netflix habits. All opinions (and European vacation memories are all mine.)
