Water, water, water – great for skin and the body it covers.
Clay face masks to draw out impurities.
    Sleep before midnight.
If only I could take my own advice! :o)

    Tips for natural skin care:
    1) Eat lot of fruits – blueberries and all kinds of berries.
    2) Drink a glass of warm water right when you wake up with a hint of lemon and honey in it.
    3) To keep skin clean avoid rubbing your hands on face and keep oily hair away from face. Also, wash the pillow covers often to avoid your own germs and sweat on face.

Get lots of sleep, and if you can’t afford good skin products make them yourself out of avocado, honey, and lemon.

Use your coffee grounds to exfoliate your skin in the shower! The caffeine helps tone skin, the smell will wake you up and you are also recyling by using the grounds in your filter after you have your coffee! :)

My grandmother used to put slices of raw onion on her face and to date has the nicest skin for a grandma I know. I do it a few times a year and it feels great!

When I am at the beach I actually rub sand all over my body as a natural scrub. I’ve done it with mud too, but people stare a bit much when I do that! (My husband likes it though).

Instead of using expensive night creams, I now use organic jojoba oil as my facial and body moisturizer.

I try not to wear much makeup (even though I look like I’m 12). I ensure I wash my face every night before bed and a SPF day cream to block out those harmful sunshine rays!

I actually have 2 tips Drink lot’s of water and minimize sun exposure are the keys to keeping healthy skin.

  17. kara April 7, 2010 at 2:07 pm ·

gently exfoliate your skin with an olive oil and sea salt mix, your skin is smooth, moisturized and glows afterward.

I use an antibacterial facecloth from Norwex to wash my face with just water. Their cloths are microfiber with silver for the antibacterial qualities and it also does a great job of removing makeup or dirt without needing to add any soap or makeup remover. Keeps my skin clean and moist, I find soaps and cleaners just dry it out and I’d rather not use chemicals.

  19. PG April 10, 2010 at 7:10 am ·

Rub lemon on your face as a natural astringent.

    Don’t pick at your blemmishes

  21. Kay April 15, 2010 at 12:11 pm ·

Lots of water during the day; change your facial towels and facecloths & sponges every month & rince them well.

I am a firm believer in the powers of Green Tea and I drink Matcha everyday mostly because:
    1) it’s loaded with anti-oxidants
    2) it contains Catechins EGCg (which has the most potent cancer-fighting properties)

**So my skin care tip: add dry matcha tea to your facial cleanser or facial mask for that added boost in skin radiance!! Seriously….it will wake your skin up and leave you with glowing results :)

  23. Leanne April 15, 2010 at 1:41 pm ·

I reuse my green tea bags as a super refreshing face wipe! I’m a new mom of a 4 week old girl & some days the wipe of a tea bag is all I can do to feel better–cheap & cheerful & at hand!

  24. Whimsy April 15, 2010 at 3:39 pm ·

I try and give myself mini facials every week with a mud mask.

  25. Patricia April 16, 2010 at 2:05 pm ·

Drink lost of water, eat healthy…Also do some in home care like masks from fruits (they are high in anti oxidants), do sugar scrubs (brown sugar, honey and a few drops of lemon..Lemon is a nautural bleach)don’t drink too much coffee is very dehydrating (for every cup of coffee you should have 2 extra glasses of water) but most of all sleep…
