Heinz Plant Bottle for Earth Day

UrbanMommies received a sample sneak peak of the new Heinz Ketchup (our kids call it chop-chop) bottle the company is launching for Earth Day. I was over the moon. Or the earth. This kitchen staple is a favourite of most kids, and will soon be available in a plastic bottle that is partially made with plant-based material. Manufactured with up to 30 percent plant material derived from sugarcane, the Heinz Ketchup PlantBottle™ packaging looks, feels, and functions like traditional PET plastic and has the same recyclability as the rest of Heinz Canada’s Ketchup lineup. Made possible through a landmark partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, the new PlantBottle™ packaging will be on shelves this Earth Day, April 22. Cool.
