Trying after a Miscarriage

Q - I just had a very early miscarriage 1 week ago and am wondering if it is safe to keep trying to get pregnant or if I should wait a bit. I have read a couple of different things and am a bit confused.
A - Doctors tend to suggest you have one normal cycle after a miscarriage before trying to conceive again. This is so that your body can recover and so that you can recover mentally as well as possible. It is also a little more accurate for dating the pregnancy. However, if you did conceive before the first normal cycle there is no harm to the fetus.
