Spa Day. I went to the new Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Pacific Rim yesterday…what a great experience. I should have planned to be there for the whole day because I could have stayed there for hours with so many amenities. Over the past 10 years I have been fortunate to try almost all the top spas in the city, but this one now ranks No. 1 on my short list.
The staff are real professionals and the service was extremely good. I went with the Great Canadian Facial, thanks to being one of the Urban Mommies contest winners, and my face looks at least 5 years younger. My technician Irena was from Romania and knew her stuff! There was cleansers and creams and acid peels and misters and extractions and masques and buffing. I walked around all day waiting for people to comment on my younger make up free face. It felt great and left a lasting impression!!! I recommend always booking a spa treatment when there is going to be heavy rain. Between the sounds of the ocean waves over the speakers and the pounding rain outside, I was transported into waves of relaxation. And this is coming from someone who usually mentally jots down a grocery list during a message.
