Fit Mommy 2008
Meet Jennifer Altman, Jennifer is the Urbanmommies.com Fit Mommy 2008 winner. She was chosen out many Canadian moms who wrote in telling us why they should win the fabulous 8 week package that helps any new mom get their body and fitness level back on track all courtesy of Mixx Co Fitness.
Jennifer, at 33 is a Canadian mom taking care of her 28 month old daughter and her 6 month old son. Like most of us she’s trying to juggle the needs and schedules of her children, taking care of her home, her dog, and finding time with her husband. This as we all know leaves us with not a lot of “YOU” time.
Jennifer was chosen because of her determination and desire to not only kickstart her health regime but to use this opportunity to instill positive, healthy values for her whole family.
Follow Jennifer over the next 8 weeks to hear how’s she’s doing and what results she seeing and feeling on the inside and out. We asked Jennifer a few questions to get a better understanding of what she was hoping to get out of the next two months and here’s what she had to say:
Short Term Fitness goals: To tighten and tone. Strengthen my core and improve my posture
Long Term Fitness goals: To make health and fitness a priority in my life. Not just try to fit it in to whatever time is left at the end of the week. Get more active with my family: hiking, jogging, cycling
Most excited about: Doing something for ME and feeling good about myself.
Biggest fitness fear: Keeping up with it once I go back to work. It’s hard juggling work, family and keeping up a house. I want health and fitness to be a priority for myself and my family. My husband and I both want to fit it into our schedule. It’s going to be tricky but I know we can do it.
