COME SEE US AT THE VANCOUVER ISLAND BABY FAIR THIS WEEKEND!!
Picture this: Victoria in September. Leaves falling on the Empress; late summer flowers making their final show; parliamentiarians bustling about….and thousands of moms and babies descending upon the Pearkes Recreation Centre to attend the annual Vancouver Island Baby Fair. Bobs and Lolo will sing and dance, and so many photos of babies will be snapped that you might think that there is paparazzi in the room…. oh yes, and Urban Mommies will be there with bells on (or very cool give-aways anyway).
Vancouver Island Baby Fair creator and producer Shirley Broback has been hard at work on the show, and has been nominated for the SavvyMom Entrepreneur of the Year award. With a grand prize worth $15,500 in prizes, we’d love to help her along! Shirley works hard all year long to create a fantastic event that celebrates the growing families on Vancouver Island, and provides a great marketing opportunity for businesses like Urban Mommies. Jill Amery is a mom of 2 monkeys/stormtroopers and Editor and Publisher at UrbanMommies Media. Though she's based in Canada, her palette is mostly French and her fashion sense is decidedly Italian. When taking a break from her busy travel schedule, she can be found hosting complicated dinner parties or surfing ebay for obscure vintage gowns.
