Renee: Week 1

I am having a glass of wine tonight since Dan, from Fitness on the Go informed me that you have to drink 4 liters of water to make up for one unit of alcohol. (He’s no fun). I love my Friday night wine with my husband after the kids are in bed.  It reminds me of times past. Oh well, I can give it up for three months, right?

I can’t believe I won! I am actually a finalist!!
First of all, does anyone ever think they will win, or are you the kind of person that thinks they have the winning 649 every time they splurge on a quick pick? I personally haven’t really won anything so I am very excited about the whole thing.

Okay…now that I am working two jobs over the Olympics I have lost about 5 pounds, and I need my trainer to come by and measure me so that I can claim all of this weight loss was my efforts and not a lack of time to eat 3 square meals and my usual 3 snacks.  I am attending this crazy yoga class on Sunday so that I can say I did work out this week…does yoga count?  I always think you have to sweat buckets when you only work out once a week.  Anyways, my fabulous Nike shoes and dry-fit shirt is still in the Nike bag we received on Tuesday morning – not good.  I didn’t think we would get to pick out our colors and style of shoe, but they are awesome.  Now I need to use this gear!  May be I’ll walk the dogs.
Bopomo took some great shots of our “before pictures” I am dreading what they look like.  I felt it was like getting your picture taken for your new driver’s license; what is it going to look like? It took me 5 years to get over the last one.  I was 3 weeks post-partum and only gained 50 pounds with that pregnancy. That is why I love having a digital camera so I can tell my husband “take another one”!

Fitness plan so far: I bought a tread mill off a friend of mine 3 weeks ago but it’s still in virgin status mode; and for Christmas I bought my girls a mini trampoline thinking I would jump on it while watching Oprah, but you really need a good sports bra for that!

    I am so glad to hear that someone else is living my life I thought I was the only one, 2 kids and 2 jobs wow, you go girl, I cant wait to hear about your adventure!

    Well I’m tired just reading this! Good luck on your journey, Renee. I decided if you can do all that, I can at least make it to the gym on the weekend. Look forward to hearing more.
