Mount Pleasant Outdoor Pool opens for its final day on September 7, Labour Day, 2009.
Join the fun and celebrate the memories of Mount Pleasant Pool at the First Annual ‘Last Outdoor Neighbourhood Pool’ Party from 12PM-3PM with free swimming, live music, hot dog BBQ, cake, and a giant splash! Event is RAIN OR SHINE. Pass it on – post it – invite your friends!!!!! Everybody loves Mount Pleasant Outdoor Swimming Pool!
At 3PM there will be a Pool Parade around the pool grounds to promote the public consultation on the future of the park site anticipated for this fall, and to encourage Park Board to put the pool replacement project on the next Capital Plan. Join the fun – join the parade – prevent the extinction of outdoor swimming pools in Vancouver’s city centre!
