Festival of Lights

Festival of LightsOne of our favourite Vancouver holiday traditions is The Vandusen Festival of Lights.  Take a stroll on Candy Cane Lane, listen to choirs, and delight in the stunning display of lights in one of the most magnificent gardens in Canada.  You can push a stroller, entertain a toddler or dazzle the bigger ones too.  If you don't want to do a gourmet trip and eat at Shaughnessy Restaurant (though we would recommend it), you can take advantage of the fresh-made sweet and savoury waffles, real apple cider and Thomas Haas Hot Chocolate, hot dogs, and the hot chestnut booth.  (worry about the waistline later.)

When: 4:30 to 9 p.m. every night, December 5, 2008 through January 4, 2009 except December 25th when the Garden is closed.

Tickets: Avoid the line-up and purchase advance tickets through Tickets Tonight 604.684.2787 (service charge applies) or in person at the Garden Shop (no service charge). Tickets make a great stocking stuffer or gift for friends, co-workers or clients.
