Bopomo Morgan Crossing

One sunny Sunday, the kids and I made the trip to Bopomo’s new studio in South SurreyBopomo has shot the kids before (a life-size photo of our family happens to be part of the new studio décor), and I have always been blown away by the skilled photographers.  Not only do they capture natural, spontaneous moments, but they combine incredible professionalism with play and giggles that get great behaviour out of the little ones.

Once I recovered from seeing my own mug on their signage, I looked at the stunning geometric décor of the studio.  White blue, clean, progressive and very kid-friendly.  Lots of toys and (unfortunately for the ride home)  there were clear jars filled with lollipops and candy rockets…. We had to edit a few candies out of our photos as the 2 year-old would not let them out of his grasp.  The boys (in matching UrbanMommies shirts) played and showed off for the camera, and I started to realize that my theatrical streak had been passed along genetically.

I should have known that the pics would be so great, I would NEED several of the shots.  Their apres-shoot system is fabulous.  While the kids play, read books and watch Treehouse, you immediately see the shots from your session.  The Macs they use allow you to see large photos, rank comparable poses, and narrow it all down.  (sometimes..).  When you pick the shots, you then get to choose black and white, sepia, or other colour schemes that will match your decor.

A few days later, I picked up the hard copies I’d ordered, and have been carrying them around in my purse like a grandmother – showing everyone from the bus driver to business colleagues.  Easy, not too expensive, and captures expressions that parents can soon forget.  Book us in for next year, please.
