On the third Sunday of each month from noon to 5pm, the Gallery is transformed into a fun-filled place for families with children (12 and under) to learn about art together. Staff and volunteers show visitors how to use the many hands-on activity areas, where children and adults are invited to draw, paint and create crazy art projects, and to watch and engage in dance performances. How do you turn an animal into music?  From the buzzing of a bee to the roaring of a lion and the grace of a swan, join Rob Kapilow and the Vancouver Family Musik Orchestra for this hour-long interactive concert as he looks at how composers turn animal sounds and movements into music. The concert includes two children's classics, Carnival of the Animals and Flight of the Bumble Bee, as well as Rob's own setting of eight witty animal poems called "And Furthermore They Bite".
