5th Annual Kerrisdale Summer Festival
Kerrisdale Community Center
Aug 24th -Aug 26th, 1:30pm – 3:30pm
There will be face painting, cotton candy, carnival games, bouncy castle, arts and crafts and program demos. The Vancouver Fire Department will be on hand with one of their Fire Trucks for kids and adults to experience and the Kerrisdale Community Police who will offer kids safety tips and have one of their police vehicles on display. There is a Toonie BBQ offered by M&M Meats (Hamburger or Veggie Burgers) so bring a Toonie for a burger and a drink.

19th Annual Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival
Granville Island, Vancouver
August 24th – 27th
The Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival is held at Granville Island in August every year. This is a great family event where you can enjoy canoe challenges and rowing races, classic songs of the sea, family boat building, and knot tying demos. Don’t miss the kids toy boat building where kids can build and launch their own boat. Located behind Kids' Market and Cats Meow Restaurant, it is the hit of the festival for the under 12 set!

Outdoor Flea Market
Mount Pleasant Community Center

Do you have things to sell or are you looking for a bargain? Mount Peasant’s popular flea markets are going outdoors for summer! Enjoy the sun and be a part of this event as a buyer or seller. Tables must be booked in person and paid for at time of registration. Concession will be run by the local Lions Club. Register early! In case of rain, the flea market will be held in the gymnasium.

Latin Summer Festival
Trout Lake Park
August 20th, 11am – 7pm
You are invited to attend the 6th Annual Latin Summer Fest. It is a free one-day event with entertainment from the Latin community and a great family day in the park. The morning starts off with a parade along Commercial Drive, an import market and food pavilions surrounding an outdoor stage where artists from Flamenco to Cuban Rueda delight on stage in this free community expo complete with a kids activity area.
